James Corvus was Sarah Corvus's father and a captain in the US military.

About

According to NBC's official site, James Corvus was a captain in the US military when his daughter Sarah was born in 1980 to wife Sarah. James stayed stationed in Fort Lewis with his family living nearby in Tacoma, Washington until the first Gulf War. In 1991, James's helicopter went down in southern Iraq and his body was never recovered. He was listed as missing-in-action and is now presumed dead.

Before leaving for Iraq, he had trained his daughter Sarah in marksmanship. After his death, she used her skill in the sport to gain a scholarship to the University of Washington and later to join a military and security firm called Sykes Group.
