About
Besides his work on Bionic Woman, Kurt Max Runte has acted in numerous other films and television series. Kurt has been a recurring character for television series including as Detective Jason Breen in Dr. Rothstein in Reunion (2005), Tony in Godiva's (2006), and Kyle XY (2006). He has also had many single-episode guest roles on television series including The Commish (1996), Viper (1996), Millennium (1997), The Sentinel (1997), Cold Squad (1998), Dark Angel (2001), Mysterious Ways (2001), Night Visions (2001), The Twilight Zone (2002), Battlestar Galactica (2006), Supernatural (2007) and Painkiller Jane (2007). Kurt plays Sherrif Martin Willis in the television mini-series The Andromeda Strain (2008).
Kurt Max Runte's many film roles include playing Detective Bates in The Angel of Pennsylvania Avenue (1996), a taxi driver in I'll Be Home for Christmas (1998), Hank in Daydrift (1999), Jerry in Red Deer (2000), Danny in A Perfect Execution (2001), Chief of Staff Abrahams in X2 (2003), Ed in Little Brother of War (2003), Ed Smith in the film Dark Arc (2005), Nikolas Natchios in Elektra (2005), and a cabbie in The Tooth Fairy (2006). Kurt also starred in television films including as a lumber yard manager in The Perfect Mother (1997), policeman #1 in Dirty Little Secret (1998), and Richard III Troupe in The Goodbye Girl (2004).
In addition to film and television, Kurt Max Runte has acted in theatre plays such as The Overcoat (1997), The Winners (1999) and Closer (2001).

- In 1998, Kurt Max Runte won a Jessie Richardson Theatre award in category Significant Artistic Achievement in Ensemble Performance and Stage Management for the play The Overcoat performed at Vancouver Playhouse. In 2000, Kurt was nominated for a Jessie Richardson Theatre award in category Small Theatre Awards: Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Lead Role for the play The Winners performed at Ruby Slippers.
- In 1998, Kurt appeared in the short film Shoes Off and it won the Best Short Film Award at the Cannes Film Festival.
- In 2004, Kurt Max Runte was nominated for a Leo award in the category Feature Length Drama: Best Supporting Performance by a Male for film Little Brother of War (2003).
