In early 2003, Sarah Corvus intercepted a rebel attack in Falluja, Iraq, and rescued Corporal Patrick Shanihan. But while driving back to his base, their jeep hit an IED. Sarah was not injured, but the Corporal lost both his legs and his right arm.
