Bionic 360
Jaime Sommers was born and raised in Van Horne, Iowa, by her parents Ethan and Madeline Jo Sommers. Jaime attended Van Horne's public school, Meskwaki High School, and was hostess/waitress at family-style restaurant Jelly's Eatery. Jaime's younger sister, Becca, was not born in Van Horne, but started first grade there. After Madeline passed away in 2004, Jaime moved by herself to San Francisco, CA. In 2006, Ethan brought Becca to San Francisco and left her to stay with Jaime indefinitely.
Notes
- There is no real-life restaurant called Jelly's Eatery listed in Van Horne. However, Jelly's Cafe is a popular restaurant and dance club in San Francisco. It is unknown whether the Jelly's Eatery of Bionic Woman is based on this restaurant.
Trivia
- Meskwaki High School is a real school in Tama, Iowa. It is just known as the "Meskwaki Settlement School" or "Sac and Fox Settlement School", as the school has grades from kindergarden through high school. The school was established as a Day School in 1937 by the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA). Next, it became part of the South Tama County Community School District, an Iowa public school system. In 1972, the school was closed and tribal members applied for the school to become BIA operated. In 1980, it became a tribally operated school, first as a contract school and now as a grant school.
